Q1: How many Wholesale Invoice Price Reports do I get with my membership?

A1: With our new 2 for 1 special your membership now includes unlimited reports on 10 models in unlimited option combinations. For example, viewing individual reports on all of the 7 Styles of 2011 Toyota Corolla will only count as 1 report. However, if you also want reports on the 2010 Corolla, it would count as a 2nd report.

Q2: How much does a membership cost?

A2: The cost of our membership is $39.95 plus GST or HST. CAA Members get 25% off.

Q3: Is there a time limit on the membership I purchased?

A3: Our Memberships are Life-Time memberships with no time limit or expiry date. The only time you’ll have to renew your membership is if you run out of reports. Get 25% off when you renew your membership through your member profile.

Q4: Will I be billed in Canadian dollars?

A4: Yes, we bill in Canadian dollars only.

Q5: What is the name of the company that will be billing my credit card?

A5: The billing will be processed through Armada Data Corporation, our parent company.

Q6: If I select the wrong model style, can I get another price report with the right one?

A6: Yes. For example, if you generate a report for a 2011 Ford Escape XLT and you meant to get one for a Limited, that’s no problem. Our system will recognize that you’ve already generated a report for a 2011 Escape and will allow you to generate as many price reports, in as many option combinations as you like, of the same model for free.

Q7: When does your system consider that I have used one of my Price Reports?

A7. Every time you build a new model, the system will consider that you have used one price report from your allocated amount. No additional price reports will be deducted if the same model of the same year is build more than once.

Q8: Is it possible to “Save” a record of my Price Report?

A8: Copies of your reports are automatically saved in your “My Wholesale Invoice Price Report History” folder. You can access your reports by logging into your member profile.

Q9: I forgot to print my previous Price Report and I want to review it, I also would like to revise the options I selected. What should I do?

A9: Simply login to your Member Profile using the Member Login at the top of the home page.  Your ”My Wholesale Invoice Price Report History” folder is the bottom right box.

Q10: I purchased a price report on a vehicle a few months ago. If there is a new incentive program will my report be updated or will I have to use another one of my reports?

A10: You will not have to use another Price Report. All updated pricing and incentive programs will be reflected in your history automatically. If you have already built a price report it will appear in your history folder. You may review or modify any report in your history folder without using an additional report.

Q11: Which credit cards does CarCostCanada.com accept as payment?

A11: We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Q12: How secure is your online payment process?

A12: Our online payment process is 100% secure. Your transaction is managed by Pivotal Payments, a leading Canadian payment processing company which uses the highest security SSL technology to encrypt all sensitive data. If you have specific questions, feel free to contact us by using our our Live Chat or call us at 1-866-453-6995.

Q13: What information will I get?

A13: Each report includes the MSRP, the wholesale price/dealer invoice price and manufacturer incentive information. Depending on your location the report may also include a referral to one of our trusted dealers. For more details please click here to see all CarCostCanada Membership Benefits

Q14: How do I use the information?

A14: Your pricing reports reveal to the true dealer cost of the vehicle you build. This information will help you negotiate the best deal from the dealer cost up, as opposed to blindly negotiating a discount off the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. If there is a dealership on your report, you can simply go to that dealer in confidence, knowing that you will always get a very competitive price.

Nissan Canada Employee Pricing Event

Is the Nissan Canada Employee Pricing Event a good deal?

How does Nissan calculate the employee price?

Not all Employee pricing deals are the same. Therefore, you’ll need to know how they get to their prices so you’ll know how much additional negotiating room you still have.

Can I still negotiate down from the Employee price? . . . Absolutely!

Here’s the current Ontario version of the Nissan Canada Employee Pricing Event advertisement on their website which is the same as their Ontario newspaper ad.

Is this a good deal?

How do they calculate this “Savings”?

Lets look at the 1st example, a 2011 Nissan Altima

When you go to the Nissan Canada website at www.Nissan.ca and go to the “Build Your Altima” page you get to a page which shows a “Factory Reduction” of $5,454 and a “Total Designated Selling Price” of $20,273.20 .

Is this the Employee price? Not so clear is it? Where’s the $6,332 savings shown in  the ad?

The advertised model includes two options, the CVT automatic transmission at $1,300 and the $3,100 Luxury package, which includes a power moonroof, 8-way power driver’s seat, heated seats, wood-tone trim, a special edition badge and a number of other features.  Although both options cost $4,400, the net cost after the employee discount is only $3,522, which is pretty decent value.

Bottom line: This deal is actually quite attractive. A lot of car for the money. The only down sides are that since Nissan Canada is discounting the car so much, they are not offering special low interest rates and the dealer doesn’t have that much room to negotiate. In fact, Nissan Canada has only left a $700 profit for the dealer at these prices. Therefore, will they still trim the price a bit? Some dealers may discount the price an extra $200 or $300 to sell another car, but with some models in tight supply, other dealers may stand firm on the price knowing that they will likely sell the car fairly quickly.
