Ronald M from Toronto, Ontario, who is also a CAA Member, reported saving over $1,000 on a 2008 Toyota Rav4
The process was very transparent. John De Sousa was very easy to work with. He didn't play any games, and he was excellent at following up with phone calls and e-mails to let me know the status of the delivery. He also followed up after the sale to make sure that everything was good. I really appreciated this extra "touch of class".
I would highly recommend John De Sousa at Yonge Lawrence Toyota and rate them a solid 10 out of 10!
Shawn J from Surrey, BC reported saving over $2,500 on a 2008 BMW 335
Upon presentation of the Car Cost Canada wholesale price report, Chafic Sleiman from Brian Jessel BMW was very straightforward in giving me a reasonable price for the car.
I would recommend them and rate them a 9 out of 10
Ninel K from Ajax, Ontario reported saving over $1,500 on a 2008 Nissan Rogue
If you bring in a printout of your Car Cost Canada quote, this dealer will provide a very smooth transaction. No haggling required!
I bought from William Gokavi at Ajax Nissan and I would recommend them and rate them a 10 out of 10
Chris F from Toronto, Ontario reported saving over $3,000 on a 2008 Toyota Highlander
After researching and test driving several cars, including visiting Honda.ca, Nissan.ca and Toyota.ca, we narrowed in on the Toyota Highlander, and then selected the model edition. The dealer and sales rep were helpful and patient in allowing us to test drive different editions, as well as bringing in a car from the compound just for our test drive.
The wholesale price report provided a base and a range on which to discuss purchase price. In the end it was a very satisfying experience, and we got the car that we wanted!!
I bought from Lance Anderson at Yonge Lawrence Toyota and I would recommend them and rate them a 10 out of 10

Piotr K from Notre-Dame-De-LIle-Perrot, Quebec reported saving over $1,000 on a 2008 Mazda 3
Dealer close to my location. Very good starting price offered by email, still negotiated further discount and free of charge Mazda set of steel rims for winter tires (+covers). With the report about wholesale price I got an idea how far I can push with the price negotations. The salesman was very polite and tactful. In addition Mazda Canada financing of 0% for 5 years is almost 4k of saving. The car is very good for the class, I am very happy with the choice. I would recommend J. Grimard and Mazda 2-20 Ile Perrot and rate them a 9 out of 10
Joseph O, who is also a CAA member, from Florence, Nova Scotia reported saving over $4,000 on a 2008 Honda CR-V
We negotiated a $1,450.00 savings on the car cost sticker price, also we used stackable dollars of $2,500.00 for approx $4,500.00 in total, including taxes. We also received a higher trade in value on our trade-in. We realized all this through CAR COST CANADA. We would highly recommend this to anyone. We had all our facts going into the dealer. It made a GREAT difference. Watch the incentives-its a great bonus!!!!!!!! I would recommend Gerald Brydon and Ramsays Honda and rate them a 7 out of 10.
Eduardo M from Toronto, Ontario reported saving over $2,000 on a 2008 Mazda CX-710
Test drive all cars you are looking at, make notes and ask as many questions you find applicable before making a decision. I would recommend Jolene Marriner and Mazda of Toronto and rate them a 10 out of 10
Lee L, who is also a CAA member, from Thornhill, Ontario reported saving over $1,000 on a 2008 Honda Civic LX
I saved around $1400 on my new 2008 Honda Civic Sdn LX on top of 0.9% purchase financing for 36 months. Again I based my negotiation on adding a margin of 3-5% on dealer's "actual cost", which is the wholesale price less the " hold up". The " hold up" is a deposit of around 3-4% of MSRP included in the wholesale price which will be refunded by the manufacturer to the delear when the car is sold. I ended up buying the car close to the wholesale price. This is my second Honda bought from Ricky Pang of Markham Honda since last September. We wasted no time in getting a deal. Thanks again to CarCost! I would recommend Ricky Pang and Markham Honda and rate them a 10 out of 10.
Brian R from Edmonton, Alberta reported saving over $4,000 on a 2008 Toyota 4Runner
After I settled on the vehicle that I wanted and felt comfortable with that particular salesman, I produced the Car Coast Canada report. I basically told the salesman that I'm only willing to pay $500 over the dealer cost. This is where I started my negotiations - I was actually willing to spend up to $1800 (approx 4%) over dealer cost. After sitting down with the sales manager we finally settled on $900 over the dealer cost which worked out to be about 2% above dealer cost! I was told by the sales manager that the price that I received from CCC was accurate. Once the dealership knows that you know what their cost is, then you are just negotiating what profit the dealer is making. This helped quite a bit in the negotiations. I'm pretty sure that if I "stuck to my guns" I could have walked out with my original offer of $500 over cost...oh well...next time... In the end I paid $49,238 + GST for a vehicle that retailed at $53,212 + GST. I saved over $4000!! I would recommend Chris H and Mayfield Toyota and rate them a 7 out of 10
Michael W, who is also a CAA member, from Midhurst Ontario reported saving over $6,000 on a 2008 Honda CR-V EX-L Navi
Showed them the printout and they knew how to deal with it and asked me where I would like to start. I said $300 over invoice & to their credit they came back with their bottom line. The vehicle listed for $39430 plus taxes & they offered me the CRV EXL-Navi for $38881 out the door and since I didn't want the discounted financing they even threw in 90 days no payments after the deal was done. Great to deal with. I would recommend Howard Tavroges and Barrie Honda and rate them a 10 out of 10.
Craig L who is also a CAA member, from Toronto, Ontario reported saving over $2,500 on a 2008 Mazda MX5 Miata
I had already decided to buy the 2008 Special Version of the Mazda MX5 Miata when I started to deal with a salesman I met at the Toronto Auto Show. However, after waiting several days for him to locate one, he phoned to say there were only two left available in Canada of the 105 that Mazda had produced, and those dealers were not prepared to sell below retail price. At that point, I contacted Tony Bellisario of Westowne Mazda, who had been referred to me in my CarCost Canada report. Within a half hour, Tony had located a Special Version and phoned me back with a firm quote only $1,000 above wholesale - no dickering or high pressure sales tactics involved. I visited the dealership where we closed the deal that day and I took delivery only a week later. Needless to say, I was extremely impressed with the overall process, including your partnership with the dealer. Kudos to CarCost Canada for taking the mystery out of the car buying experience, and to Tony for bringing his professionalism and integrity to the table. I would recommend Tony Bellisario and Westowne Mazda and rate them a 10 out of 10.
Robert W. from Burnaby BC reported saving over $3,000 on a 2008 Nissan Altima
Was able to get the car for less than I was expecting, allowing me to upgrade the vehicle to a higher option package. Did not reveal the Price Report to the dealer as I was able to exceed my target price. Great product, highly recommended. I would also recommend Ashiq Babul and Regency Nissan and rate them an 8 out of 10.
Dianne P who is also a CAA member, from Dundas, Ontario reported saving over $3,000 on a 2008 BMW X5
The dealer was willing to negotiate a price where as the local dealers were not! We told him we had the cost from car cost canada and we wanted to pay 3% above dealer cost. They wouldn't go for that but we paid 5% above dealer cost which was a great savings! I would recommend Bill Duffield from Grand Touring BMW in London and rate them a 10 out of 10.
John E. from Calgary, Alberta reported saving over $9,000 on a 2008 Nissan Titan
I could get a fleet price at another dealer (cost + $700), so I used this as a negotiation tool and told the dealer the price I was willing to pay. I recommend Vernon Ng and Brasso Nissan and I rate them a 7 out of 10.
David A. from Mississauga, Ontario reported saving over $6,000 on a 2008 Volvo XC70
The wholesale report did not come with a recommended dealer so I just used the invoice pricing as my starting point. In the end, I showed the dealer what I knew the invoice pricing to be, said I would pay $500 over invoice and that they would also get the future value of me servicing the vehicle with them. I would recommend David Wei and Erin Mills Volvo and rate them an 8 out of 10.
Grant H from Calgary, Alberta reported saving over $5,000 on a 2008 Buick Enclave
Because they're a registered "Car Cost" dealer, they automatically followed up after I pulled a report on the Enclave that we wanted to buy. The sales rep Grant Purslow was very nice and helpful, but not pushy and annoying. He gave me the information I needed, and let us be until we were ready for a test drive. I've bought a lot of vehicles and I would say this was my best experience buying a vehicle. Grant at Stampede did a great job. Just a really nice guy who's genuinely concerned about helping you buy a vehicle you like. He did a 1 hour walk through of the vehicle and its features with my wife. He's completely honest about the vehicle good and bad, and also seems to know the competition quite well. We LOVE the vehicle we bought - fully loaded 2008 Enclave - and we would go back to Grant for sure if and when we look to buy another new vehicle. I would recommend Grant and Stampede Pontiac Buick GMC and rate them a 9 out of 10.
Hans L from Woodbridge, Ontario reported saving over $5,000 on a 2008 Hyundai Sonata
I bought a Hyundai Sonta or less than 20k. I studied the CarCostCanada pricing reports and discovered the large $5000 cash incentive that I did not know about and hence decided to purchase the car and put it on my Mortgage. Even paying 5.75% interest from my mortgage LOC with the cash incentive it was cheaper than 0% purchase financing from Hyundai, plus I can pay it off/down easier and faster (increasing the savings by not paying the interest). I really enjoyed the service from Pfaff, especially Anthony Pellicori, as it was a simple no haggle process. They charged $500 over the wholesale price and then added Freight, air conditioning tax, fuel consumption tax, registration fee and that's it. On a cheaper car, such as mine, it works out to about 4% profit, but on a more expensive vehicle such as the $40,000 Santa Fe, it works out to 2.5%. (all excluding the cash incentives). I'm very please with this purchase, so much so that we are also leasing a Hyundai Santa Fe as a second vehicle!! Good luck!!. I rate Anthony and Pfaff Hyundai a 10 out of 10. . . . . The service is great and I'm sure to use CarCostCanada again for all my future car purchases.
Dennis L from North York Ontario reported saving over $9,000 on a new 2007 Lexus ES350
I made an offer and mentioned I have the price report, and the negotiation completed in just a few minutes. Easy and straight forward deal, I would recommend Raymond Kan (Ken Shaw Lexus) to anyone looking for a Lexus vehicle. I rate Raymond a 10 out of 10.
Pamela H from Toronto reported saving over $2,000 on a 2008 Toyota Sienna
I received my report on the computer and about 5 minutes later, the sales rep from Yonge Lawrence Toyota, John de Sousa, phoned. He was very pleasant, helpful, but certainly not pushy. He came to my house with a vehicle to look at, completed the sales document at my home and the next week returned to pick me up and drive me to the dealer. I had not intended to buy from that dealer since it was a little out of my way, but such outstanding service got John the sale. I would rate John de Sousa and Yonge Lawrence Toyota a solid 10 out of 10!
Geoff S from Ottawa, Ontario reported saving over $8,000 on a 2008 Honda CR-V
Since Honda Canada doesn't allow Honda dealers to work directly with CarCostCanada, I found DealFinder to be a great added bonus to your product. Since I have no negotiation skills, the DealFinder option is perfect for me to be able to get a car at a reasonable price without going through the theatrics of car price negotiation. The ease of this transaction was fantastic. I was weary of trying it because it sounded like it was too good of a deal. The experience was excellent and I've been telling many friends . . . some of which have already signed up! I would rate Bob Prest and DealFinder a solid 10 out of 10!
Joe F from Bolton, Ontario reported saving over $2,000 on a 2008 Mazda 3
I dealt with Fouad Akef at Prima Mazda in Woodbridge. Once Fouad saw that I had all the costs and was serious about the vehicle, he treated me fairly and honestly. We didn't waste time with any games. i.e need manager approval or Standard Dealer Charges. I paid based on wholesale delivered cost + 2%.Saved about $2000 on the car including getting a wholesale price + $25 on the additional extended warranty pkg. Am looking at purchasing a 2nd vehicle from this dealership and Fouad Akef who I give a 10 out of 10.
Karl H from Calgary, Alberta reported saving over $9,000 on a 2008 Ford F-150
I bought from the CarCostCanada recommended dealer, Metro Ford in Calgary. The dealer rep, Jim McDonald, provided other options with no strings attached that appeared to be in my interest. Open discussions where held about what I wanted and what it would take to earn my business. I informed the dealer rep of my expectations and what information I had. Also be upfront, this report allows you not to have to play the buying a car game, negotiations. I would rate my sales rep Jim McDonald and Metro Ford an 8 out of 10!
Kenneth D from Toronto, Ontario reported saving over $9,000 on a 2007 Audi Q7
Audi vehicles. Superb quality in materials, engineering, and fit. Best value amongst the premium car sector. Under rated compared to the premium "status" symbols of the other vehicles in Canada. Dealer selected because of location for service, willing to negotiate, low overheads and history of buying there. They appreciated the loyalty. I would rate my sales rep Cranic Chang and Downtown Fine Cars a 10 out of 10!
Stanley M from Gatineau, Quebec reported saving over $6,000 on a 2007 Mazda 6
Watch out as this dealer (Argus Mazda in Gatineau) adds a few hundred $ to the MSRP so that they can show a bigger discount! I was going for a Civic but, because of a manufacturer rebate (which I heard about through CCC), I got the Mazda 6 at the same price as the Civic! I would not recommend Argus Mazda
Ayaz J from Coquitlam, BC reported saving over $9,000 on a 2008 Acura MDX
Negotiations are complex and it is hard to keep all the numbers straight so it was helpful to know about the rebates and wholesale cost prior to going in to the dealership. Knowing how large a dealers margin is makes it easier to ask for the discount with conviction. I would rate my sales rep Ismail Fazal and Lougheed Acura a 9 out of 10!
Mike M from Kitchener, Ontario reported saving $2,500-$3,000 on a 2007 Mazda6 Sport Wagon
The dealership was Mazda Gabriel in Montreal and the sales rep was Fares El Khoury. Our experience was nothing less than superb. We are from the Kitchener/Waterloo area of Ontario and ended up buying in Montreal. We wanted a 2007 Mazda6 Sport Wagon GT with a 5 speed manual. We used CarCost and agreed on a good price with our local dealer. They then discovered there was not a single 5 speed manual anywhere in Ontario in any colour and they are no longer being built. Based on another CarCost users feedback I called Mazda Gabriel in Montreal and Fares found the last 5 speed unit in Quebec. We did everything via phone/fax/email and he even beat the price of our local dealer. Our local dealer offered to get the car for us and bring it to Ontario for a $400 shipping fee. Better service from Fares El Khoury and an Air Canada one way seat sale of $59 made the choice very simple. Fares even arranged to refund us the Quebec PST as we would be paying Ontario PST when we registered the vehicle in Ontario. In all honesty if we were buying another Mazda we would head back to Mazda Gabriel in Montreal and make a weekend trip of it. That kind of service is a rare pleasure. I would rate Fares and Mazda Gabriel a solid 10 out of 10!
Robert K from Ottawa, Ontario reported saving $5,000 - $6,000 on a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T
With absolutly no difficulties I was able to purchase my Dodge Charger R/T for wholesale at PEEL Chrysler in Toronto. I was treated with respect by the General Sales Manager, Mr. Gil Legerman. There was never any sales pressure. As I live in Ottawa and PEEL Chrysler is in Toronto, the entire transaction was conducted over the phone and by email. Mr. Legerman disclosed his dealer price vs. MSRP for my selected model and options - with no prompting. All questions were answered to my satisfaction. I've never had a more positive car purchasing experience than this before. By buying at Peel vs. bickering and salesroom pressure in Ottawa at wholesale plus markup, I saved almost $3000. I would recommend Mr. Legerman and Peel Chrysler and I would rate them a 9 out of 10.
Francois Y from Toronto, Ontario reported saving $1,000 - $1,500 on a 2007 Honda CR-V
The fact that I had the Car Cost Canada pricing made the negotiation relatively painless. It quickly set the tone for the dialogue. The dealership knew I was serious about the purchase and that I was not going to ask an unrealistic low price (especially on a car that is already selling well). I calculated the dealer markup % which to my surprise was quite low to begin with (under 10%). I picked a starting point (%) to begin with. Steven, a young and very eager sales rep, was a pleasure to deal with. He quickly understood the "sales situation" and we settled very quickly on what I believe is a win-win situation. I bought my car from Steven Luu at Markham Honda. I would recommend them and rate them an 8 out of 10.
Curtis L from Delta B.C. reported saving $1,000-$1,500 on a 2007 Toyota Rav 4
At first the dealer wanted to charge me full price, but when I showed him the report, his price came down right away. Thanks CarCostCanada! I bought from Scott at Jim Pattison Toyota in Surey. They were great. I would rate them an 8 out of 10.
Ying L from Brampton reported saving $1,500 - $2,000 on a 2007 Nissan Altima
Your website is very good. I will recommend it to my friends. If you can have some car insurance company with membership discount, I will be very happy to try them first. I bought my Altima from Asgar at Brampton North Nissan. I would recommend them and rate them a 7 out of 10.
Trien L from Oakville, Ontario reported saving $500-$1,000 on a 2007 Honda Fit
Tony always gives the best price up front. Never need to haggle. This is the 3rd Honda I've bought from him. Each time I always shop around and Tony's 1st quote has always been better than all the others after haggling. I bought from Tony Nhan at Ready Honda in Mississauga. I would not only recommend them, but I would also rate them a 10 out of 10
Ronald C from Calgary, Alberta reported saving $4,000-$5,000 on 2008 Ford F-350
The dealer had the same Carcost report that I had and offered a 3% over cost price right from the start. Other dealers didn't seem interested in moving from their original offer which was $2000 - $2500 higher. I bought from Jim McDonald at Metro Ford Sales in Calgary. I would not only recommend them, but I would also rate them a 10 out of 10
Scott S. from Winnipeg, Manitoba reported saving almost $1,000 on a 2007 Honda Civic
Great service and I love the email price alert updates! The dealership worked quite hard to ensure I was happy. Two free tanks of gas, 2 free oil changes, All weather floor mats incl. for free and 1/2 price on tinting the windows. The buying process was comfortable, but there still was the "I'll have to go ask my sales manager. etc." I didn't show my reports, but set a price I was willing to pay based on the wholesale price. Basically I included a reasonable dealer profit and had a price in my mind before we went in to buy. All together I saved almost $1,000. I bought from Dylan Foui at Winnipeg Honda and I would rate them an 8 out of 10.
Chris S. from Ottawa, Ontario reported saving $6,000-$7,000 on a 2007 Cadillac CTS
I found the information very helpful in making a fair offer to the dealer. The report included factory to dealer rebates that were not advertised. Including taxes I saved close to $7,000! Thanks CarCostCanada! I bought the car from Edward Knopp at Belisle Automobiles and I would rate them a 9 out of 10.
Jaakko K from Dorval, Quebec reported saving $2,000-$2,500 on a 2007 BMW 323i
Go get quotes from all the BMW dealers in the Montreal area and make them bid against each other. That's how I got the best quote. I was also happy that I did get the best quote from BMW Laval. I find them a very friendly dealer compared to the others, and my sales rep, Pierre Boileau, was exceptional! I would highly recommend them and rate them a 10 out of 10.
Dom B. from Thornton, Ontario reported saving $2,500-$3,000 on a 2007 GMC Acadia SLE
Excellent tool to establish the base price. All the figures were accurate. Although I don't think I negotiated the best deal....at least I know how good it was. Without the report I could only guess. I bought from Ab Cox Pontiac GMC in Aurora and I would rate them an 8 out of 10.
John W from North Vancouver, BC reported saving $2,500-$3,000 on a 2007 BMW X5 3.0si
I was able to get $2500 off MSRP a full set of all weather mats & MP3 player connection from The BMW Store on Burrard Street in Vancouver. The sales rep was Daniele Vecchio and I would rate them a 10 out of 10.
Jeff O from Bradford, Ontario reported saving $1,000-$1,500 on a 2007 Dodge Caliber
This really made buying a car a breeze. I would suggest this service to everyone looking to buy a new car. Thanks
Daniel B from Montreal, Quebec reported saving $1,500-$2,000 on a 2007 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon GS
Mazda Gabriel was already onboard with CarCost Canada. In the case of the Mazda 6 Sportwagon it was cost + 595 $. No hassle, no surprises. M. El-Khouri is a gentlemen and is professional and courteous. Great experience. Highly recommended. At Saturn, Toyota in Quebec and Subaru dealers they try to make you believe that your are getting the best deal right away. When in fact you are getting screwed with a smile on your face. Ladies, you are the best prey for them because they make you believe that even the men get the same price as you do. Don't see too many men driving Toyota Rav4's around, because the price is all wrong.
Michael D from Bolton, Ontario reported saving $3,000-$4,000 on a 2007 Honda Odyssey Touring
I am very happy! Including taxes, I saved almost $4,000. Go in prepared to bargain and work from cost up instead of list price down. The savings were amazing! Andrew at Orangeville Honda was also great to deal with. I would rate him a solid 10 out of 10.
Carl C. from Oakville, Ontario saved between $2,500 & $3,000 on a 2007 Hyundai Entourage
This is a great service. It gives me an idea as to where to start and particularly what factory incentives are available. Thanks a lot! Hyundai of Oakville was great too. I would rate them a 10 out of 10!
Glen Stewart from Cameron, Ontario saved between $5000 & $6,000 on a 2007 Buick Rendezvous
Your service, and customer service when I had to make contact with you was exceptional. I have already given your web site to several friends. I negotiated a price of only $800 over the wholesale price with my local dealer, plus I also got an extra $1,000 loyalty bonus that was on your report, because I owned a Malibu. By the time I added in all of the discounts, rebates and tax savings, I saved close $6,000! I couldn't be happier! The Lindsay Pontiac sales department were excellent to deal with, especially my rep Jim Richardson. The direct approach using your numbers worked well for both sides. I would not only recommend Lindsay Pontiac and Jim Richardson, I would give them a rating of 10 out of 10.
Todd B from Sherwood Park, Alberta saved between $4,000 & $5,000 on a new 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 pickup
I used the report to see if the dealer was offering me a fair price (3 to 5% over wholesale), and I got the truck for less than 5%. Great service! Another dealer commented, "Wow, it's amazing that you can get that info on the internet!" Definitely helps one be a more informed buyer! I bought my truck from Tony Solikowski at Northgate Pontiac Buick GMC Limited. I would not only recommend this dealer, I would also rate them a solid 10 out of 10. By the way, I looked at the new 2007 Toyota Tundra and although it's much better than the 2006, I found it very expensive by the time I factored in the deal that I got on my Sierra.
Anthony P from Unionville, Ontario save between $3,000 & $4,000 on a 2007 Lexus ES350
The Wholesale price report was very useful in the final negotiations. Reliability and quality of Lexus. I previously had a Lexus for 10 years and never had a problem. The Lexus Dealer was very courteous and very customer focused. I would recommend the dealer, Scarborough Lexus Toyota and give a rating of 9 out of 10.
Dave G from Mississauga, Ontario saved between $1,000 & $1,500 on a 2007 Dodge Nitro
Knowing dealer cost enabled me to quickly negotiate a price fair to both parties and saved me some money. I also felt peace of mind knowing that I had obtained a fair deal and had not been gouged. The sales manager appreciated the fact that I knew exactly what I wanted, how much it cost, and could commit to a purchase immediately.
Service was great!!! The only thing I think I picked up elsewhere was that benefited me was from Consumer Reports - A comment about not paying dealer paperwork and vehicle processing fees. How that is a dealer's cost of doing business and should not be charged to the customer. Saved an extra $500 or so with that. I would rate the dealer, Team Chrysler Jeep and the sales rep, Moe, a 9 out of 10.
Mahmud A from Markham, Ontario saved between $2,000 & $2,500 on a 2006 Toyota Sienna
It was easy to arrive on a price acceptable to both of us without going through the guessing and saved the hassle of haggling on the price. I showed the CarCost quote to Markville Toyota but they were not cooperative. Thank You CarCost. Peter was very accommodative. Only problem was that the dealership was not the closest one to my home but it was worth the drive to Pickering. I would rate the dealer, Pickering Toyota and the sales rep, Peter Kowal, a 10 out of 10.
Paul P from Ottawa, Ontraio saved between $1,500 & $2,000 on a 2007 Nissan Quest
I had a very great experience. When the dealer found out that I was using Car Cost Canada, they also gave me Car Cost Canada pricing on rust protection and were not pushy when it came to extra warranty. I used the CarCostCanada dealer Walkley Nissan and they were way better than the other dealer I went to. I would rate the dealer and the sales rep, Guy Smith, a 10 out of 10
Alan P from Vancouver, BC saved between $3,000 & $4,000 on a 2007 Acura TL-Type S
I chose the vehicle from reviews between G35, I35 and TL-S. Best trunk space, best features for the money. I would have preferred all wheel drive (not rear wheel only) but the G35x was overpriced and the new style was not to my liking. I sent emails to 4 dealers in area, mentioned I had wholesale information from CarCostCanada and offered my price for the car, all-in (taxes, fees, whatever). Of the 4 dealers, I never heard from two, one called and said they couldn't sell it for that price. Not enough profit, only $800 according to them, cars on allocation, ‘come in and we'll talk’ and wouldn't give me any idea of what they would sell it for. The last dealer (had a call from the sales manager the day after I sent the email) called and said ‘yes, when would you like to come pick it up’. Very easy and there were no surprises doing the deal. Car was ready, paid exactly what we agreed upon. I would rate the dealer, North Shore Acura, and especially the sales manager, Richard Kim, a solid 10 out of 10.
Christina D from Chase, B.C. saved between $500 & $1,000 on a 2007 Mazda 3
My CarCostCanada Wholesale price report really made a difference. Where other dealers wanted to charge me full price, the report helped me to save between $500 & $1,000 at Kamloops Mazda. I would rate my sales rep Jorg Woehle and the dealer as an 8 out of 10, which is a lot more than I can say for the others. Overall I'm very happy with my new car, the dealer I bought it from and the deal I got thanks to CarCostCanada.
Eugene B from Woodbridge, Ontario saved between $2,000 & $2,500 on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara
The price report gave me the solid base from which to start my negotiations. The dealer choice came down to 1) My comfort level with the salesperson as well as the dealership itself. 2) The dealer/salesperson I went with gave me the best initial offer and made me feel that they really wanted my business no matter how many times I left and came back. Other dealers, because I was dealing for a very hot item, took the position that there was no need to give me any deal because they could sell it to someone else at full MSRP plus. When I left those dealers I never thought about going back, ever.
James B from Guelph, Ontario saved between $2,000 & $2,500 on a 2007 Nissan Altima SE V6
My sales rep Deepa Bisla is a very knowledgeable and competent salesman. He knows his products well and was very familiar with CCC and your information. I have purchased a number of new cars over the years (different makes) and therefore dealt with a number of different dealerships and salespeople. Deepa rates as the best I've encountered. And he's not a high-pressure person. The dealership is very accommodating, both on the sales and service side. I have no problem whatsoever recommending Deepa and Guelph Nissan
Ron W. from Winnipeg, Manitoba saved over $1,300 on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler
Having the dealer cost in hand and working from cost up instead of MSRP down was very comforting and I felt I was dealing from a position of strength and well informed instead of being at their mercy. It was money well spent in getting the dealer invoice cost. Thanks.
Jeff M from Brantford, Ontario saved over $3,000 on a 2006 Toyota Sienna
After searching for a deal on a Sienna at ToyotaCanada's website at Toyota.ca with no luck, a friend told me about CarCostCanada.com. At first I was apprehensive, but the results were better than I expected. I saved well over $3,000. I couldn't be happier. Thanks CarCostCanada!
Ron O. from Edmonton, Alberta saved over $2,000 on a 2006 Mazda 6 Sport and has saved over $9,000 on 3 cars over the last 3 years
This is the 3rd car I’ve bought using CarCostCanada. This time, by me knowing the dealers cost and telling them up front, I was able to save over $2,000 and I also got zero % financing because of Mazda year end deals. Other dealers that did not know I knew the cost would only drop a few hundred dollars and push the zero % finance.
Thanks for the service. My previous vehicle, a 2003 4 Runner I saved $3700. On my 2005 Mazda RX-8 I saved about $3400 and if I did not know, they were not going to tell me about the $1500.00 cash back. Since I had all the info up front they could not pull a fast one on me, and I believe they would have. Again Thanks.
Andrew S from Vancouver BC saved over $2,800 on a 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L
Other dealers tried to charge me almost full price. Thanks to CarCostCanada's information I was able to negotiate a great price at my local dealer and saved over $2,800. My dealer was also the most courteous and polite.
Tyler B. from Calgary, Alberta saved over $4,000 on a 2006 Chev Malibu Maxx
Great service. I knew what to expect upfront, before going to dealership. Will never buy a car without checking invioce price with Carcost Canada.
Faisal H from Guelph, Ontario saved over $4,000 on a 2007 Audi A4 Quattro 3.2 S-Line Navi
CarCostCanada saved me over $4,000 on my new Audi. Thanks CarCostCanada.
Don O. from Ontario saved over $3,000 on a 2007 Audi A4 Quattro
I am extremely pleased with your service. Your service is simple and a tremendous value. I have saved thousands on each car that I purchased. This is the second new car that I have purchased using your service in the past 18 months. (2005 Toyota Rav4 last year). On both occasions I have worked with professional dealerships that participated in your program. I highly recommend your service to all of my friends that are considering the purchase of a new vehicle. Thanks again. Best Regards, Don
Karen K from Toronto, Ontario saved over $2,800 on a 2007 Subaru Outback Limited
My dealer gave me the best price for my new car. I was quite happy with the reports however was surprised that you had no affiliation with Honda.
George B. from Rockwood, Ontario saved almost $500 on a 2007 Honda Fit
Every dealer told me that nobody would give me a discount on the Honda Fit. But when I went to the dealer in Cambridge, they took one look at my price report and dropped the price almost $500. Wow, thanks for saving me so much money
Darrell R from Kingston Nova Scotia saved over $1,000 on a 2007 Nissan Altima
System works very well. I am very pleased with the results because of the added knowledge it gave me prior to going to the dealership.
Steve C. from Calgary, Alberta saved over $1,000 on a 2007 Subaru Outback
Thanks for helping me save over $1,000 on my new Outback!
Blake J. from Victoria BC saved over $8,000 on a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT
When I compared prices, it looked like the Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna were only a few thousand more than the Dodge Grand Caravan. But the CarCostcanada Wholesale Price Reports showed me the real goods. Honda and Toyota were not offering many incentives, but Dodge was offering a ton. When I saw that I could save over $8,000, that sealed the deal. It was too good of a deal to pass up.
Justin M. from Delta, BC saved close to $2,000 on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GLS
I went into my local dealer, showed my CarCostCanada price report and within half an hour I walked out having saved close to $2,000. I felt like a million bucks. Thanks CarCostCanada
Ed F. from Markham, Ontario saved over $1,800 on a 2007 Mazda 6 Sport wagon
Lease went VERY smooth with the dealer not hassling me about cost. In fact he came down from what I offered! The great thing is you end up negotiating UP from invoice instead of DOWN from MSRP. Great job! and I'll be back when my wife's lease is up.
Susan M. from Calgary, Alberta saved over $1,000 on a 2007 Mazda 5
Thanks CarCostCanada. With your help, I just saved over $1,000 on my new Mazda 5.
Barbara B. from Toronto, Ontario saved over $1,000 on a 2007 Honda CR-V EX-L
This is the second car I've bought with CarCostCanada's help. The new CR-V had just come out and the dealer was saying that they won't be discounting them for a few months. But when I pulled out my price report, he went back to his manager and their price dropped by over $1,000! Now that's powerfull! Thanks CarCostCanada.
Jeff B. from Winnipeg, manitoba saved over $1,500 on a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid
Two Honda dealers told me that they wouldn't take a penny off the price, because Honda Civic Hybrids are such hot sellers. But when I came back with the CarCostCanada Wholesale Price Report they changed their tune in a hurry. I negotiating between both dealers and ended up saving over $1,500. This site is pretty awesome!
Cliff H. from Toronto, Ontario saved $2,900 on a 2006 VW Jetta.
This service is a great bargaining weapon. You should of seen the look on the salesperson's face when he asked me what I was willing to pay. I gave him a number and he said that its impossible. He dropped $2900.00 in less than five minutes when I told him I was a member of CarCostCanada. I marked it up 3% over the wholesale invoice price and held my ground. The sale was done in less than 15 minutes. Thank you CarCostCanada
M. Chaudhry from Saskatchewan saved $1,800 on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
I believe your system is working great. I saved about $1800 for CarCostCanada membership worth $40. I don't think it can get better than that! I'll certainly recommend your membership to all my friends in the market for a new vehicle. Good work, keep it up!
David M from Vancouver, BC saved $2,800 on a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX
The pricing info you provided was invaluable, but at the same time, I would not have gotten nearly as good of price as I did had I not gone to www.CarBuyingTips.com. Perhaps you can link to this site, or consider putting similar information on your own site. You guys gave me the pricing info I needed, but CarBuyingTips gave me the strategy, formulas, and even a spreadsheet for calculating the price I should aim for. The total "savings" off the MRSP was about $2800. I attribute about half of that to CarCostCanada.
One other thing would also be good.
Can you add a way to find out what your trade-in is worth? Something Black Book or Red Book prices would be great. I don't know if they have Canadian versions, but I found the Blue Book, Gold Book and Kelly's from the U.S. to be quite helpful. Thank you, Dave
Lisa C from Swan River, Manitoba saved over $7,000 on a 2006 Jeep Commander
Hi!
Just wanted to say thanks and share my story. I recently purchased a new vehicle and due in part to timing and a greater extent to Carcost Canada, I was able to save $7279.00 (which includes taxes) off the MSRP price of a new Jeep Commander. I can't recommend this site enough to anyone planning a new vehicle purchase. I was able to research and compare vehicles, price out different options, learn what incentives where out there, that I might not otherwise have know about etc. I really dreaded the idea of having to buy and negotiate the purchase of a new vehicle, but Carcost Canada equipped me with all the knowledge that I needed to walk in confidently and make my deal. The entire process was comfortable and the salesman was equally happy to have made a sale the whole process took about 20 minutes! My husband is so impressed with my negotiating skills that he is bragging about me to everyone. I tell him in all fairness it’s Carcost Canada that should get the Kudo's!!!A membership to this site is worth every penny and more.
Thanks ever so much
Lisa C
Navtej K. from Victoria BC saved over $3,000 on a 2006 Honda Civic and Accord
I recently purchased the wholesale invoice reports for a 2006 Honda Accord and 2006 Honda Civic. Unfortunately, there wasn't a Recommended Dealer indicated in the report as I live in Victoria, B.C. and the one Honda Dealership (Honda City) in Victoria, is not currently registered with CarCostCanada. I called the General Manager at Honda City and advised him that I am a member of CarCostCanada and wanted to purchase two new vehicles from his dealership and that I already have the wholesale costs of the vehicles for which the dealership purchased the cars from Honda Canada.
I explained to the General Manager that by cutting out the salesperson, the dealership could save money on commission and I would appreciate receiving the cars at cost or just above cost. The General Manager indicated that he had heard of CarCostCanada and would be interested in making a deal with me for the purchase of the vehicles. I was referred to the Fleet Manager (Kevin) and I ended up receiving what I thought was a great deal on the cars. The dealership added $280 to each of the vehicles wholesale cost figures which I had provided to them.
I tried getting a price quote through Honda Canada at Honda.ca. I looked up the values on Black Book, Blue Book and Red Book. I even went to Edmunds at Edmunds.com and none of them gave me as accurate and as good a deal as going through CarCostCanada.
All in all, I saved a lot of money by using the CarCostCanada wholesale invoice report and received excellent service from Honda City. I hope this feedback makes it onto the CarCostCanada website and that perhaps, CarCostCanada can work something out with Honda City so other members in Victoria will only have to call the telephone number on thereport and speak to the contact person listed.
Thai T. from Welland, Ontario saved $1,100 on a 2006 Toyota Matrix
I saved $1,100 on the new 2006 Matrix. I got a fair deal without any haggling. Knowledge of the Dealer Cost is definitely a powerful tool.
Don't waste your time trying to get a deal from the Toyota Canada website Toyota.ca. They either never get back to you or they just try to get you in for a test drive and they never quote a price below MSRP.
Gordon S. from Surrey, BC saved over $3,000 on a 2006 Acura TL
The dealer originally was reluctant to offer much of a discount. But after showing him the Car Cost Canada report his tune quickly changed. I ended up saving over $3,000! Thanks CCC
Mary M. from Newmarket, Ontario saved over $3000 on a 2006 Nissan X-Trail
Car Cost Canada gave me the info I needed ie: wholesale report and a quote from another Nissan dealer to enable me to purchase a vehicle from a dealer closer to home. The process of buying our vehicle was amazing from test drive to final delivery. No hassle no sleezy dealing. Thanks.
George S. from London, Ontario saved over $4,000 on a 2006 GMC Envoy
Car cost was great...I knew the dealer costs and rebates..sale was "sealed in 10 minutes" with no back and forth.... Thank you for putting me in the "drivers seat"...I tried getting "Free" invoice and incentive info from Edmunds at www.Edmunds.com and I found it to be totally useless. Your site had a lot more detail, was much better organized and saved me a lot more money....
I guess the old saying is true "You get what you pay for". I spent $40 to save $4,000. I think that's not too bad at all.
Carmine D. of Milton, Ontario saved over $4,000 on a 2006 Toyota Tundra
Great product. I was impressed at how quicklly I could make a decission given the right information that you provided. No BS in dealling with the dealerships. I was able to quickly weed out the shotty dealers. Thanks
Betty E. from North Vancouver, BC saved over $3,000 on a 2006 Subaru Outback

Charlie B. from Mississauga, Ontario saved over $3,000 on a 2006 Toyota 4Runner
This was the easiest vehicle purchase I ever made. The purchase price was better than I could have negotiated on my own. The whole process was done over the phone, very professional. As someone who is in business myself it's great to see business done in a professional and efficient manner. Thanks to all who were involved.
Patricia H from Toronto, Ontario saved over $1,500 on a 2006 Audi A4 Avante
Simply by mentioning that, in searching for the right car for me, I had checked out Car Cost Canada, I know that the first quote I got was much better than I would have received otherwise.
Jennifer Y. from Calgary, Alberta saved over $1,300 on a 2006 Subaru Forester
I think Car Cost provides a fair exchange where both parties are happy about the purchase/sale.
Jeff P. from Kanata, Ontario saved over $1,500 on a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder
The process was great. I had pricing information from other sources and Car Cost Canada was $500.00 less than a competitive quote from another service, and $1000.00 less on the vehicle that was the "best deal" from a local dealer that I walked away from. Walkley also offered a better deal on my trade as well. Car Cost Canada's contact Jason Winters from Walkley Nissan was professional, open, fair, and painless to deal with. I would recommend him and Car Cost Canada to any of my friends to purchase a vehicle. Regards, Jeff Phillips
Serge S. from Mississauga, Ontario saved over $1,500 on a 2006 Subaru Forester
As soon as my dealer noticed the CarCost info sheets that I printed in advance, he took me directly to his boss who confirmed the invoice price and asked how much am I willing to pay on top of it to make the deal mutually benefitial. The whole bargaining part took me about 10 minutes.
Garry M. from Pickering, Ontario saved over $2,000 on a 2006 Toyota Avalon
I found the experience of car buying far less stressful as a result of this membership. As a Car Cost Canada Member, I was able to get a better price than I had previously been able to secure. The dealership was easy to deal with when presented with the Car Cost Canada quote and I believe I ended up with a better price than I would have been able to obtain otherwise. I would recommed this service to anyone looking at buying a new car.
Ross L from Vancouver BC saved over $2,300 on a 2005 Honda Accord

Garth I. from Newmarket Ontario saved over $5,000 on a Nissan Armada
What was really great with your service is that you provided me with the 3 things I really needed to get the best deal: 1. dealer cost for the vehicle 2. knowledge of dealer promotions in play 3. a motivated dealer to offer a competing bid With the above 3 ingredients I was able to get the vehicle we wanted at $4250 BELOW quoted dealer cost (due to the $5000 of promotion dollars I knew that they had and a competing bid that was even lower, but from an inconvenient dealer). Thanks for your service. Please keep it up!
Teresa A. from Langley BC saved over $2,200 on a BMW 325CI

Diane S. of Thunder Bay, Ontario saved over $4,400 on a 2005 Ford Focus wagon
My actual savings if I didn't know the dealer invoice cost was $4480.25 after taxes. I have previously dealt with this dealer and they were also the most pleasant to deal with and also knew how your company works. I dealt with the Sales Manager for all the pricing deals. It was sure a great tool to have the piece of paper with me to show them I knew exactly what their dealer cost invoice was and what the factory to dealer incentives were that otherwise would not be known by the consumer. Your dealer cost invoice to their dealer cost invoice was only out by $47.00 and they said that is because their cost for freight goes up 3 times per year when bringing in new vehicles. Thank you and I hope you are still around in another 10 years when I will probably will be ready to buy another car.
Andrew F. - Oakville, Ontario - Dodge Grand Caravan
I bought from the dealer that was recommended from CarCostCanada. That's why I used him. I don't know how much money I saved vrs other dealers - didn't bother pricing elsewhere as I knew everything upfront and the dealer was upfront about costs etc. It was a comfortable and enjoyable process. Thanks!
Dan N. of Toronto, Ontario saved over $1,000 on a Mazda 6 wagon
Hey Guys, You're doing a great job with this site. It's very important to know the dealer invoice info . . .
Brad G. of Edmonton, Ontario saved over $700 on a 2005 Honda Odyssey
The information I received was very helpful in negotiating with the sales rep . . . I am not sure I would have saved much money, if any, in negotiating a price for a 2005 model.
Ramona C. of Burlington, Ontario saved over $300 on a 2005 Hyundai Tucson GLS
I liked the fact that I could see the dealer cost. When I arrived at the dealership the Manager agreed to show me "their" costs associated with the vehicle from the dealership book as I was very upfront with them about my information from CarCostCanada. . . . I am grateful that I had an idea of what the entire costs are when purchasing a vehicle . . . . It was also useful for me to see comparison vehicles that I was considering to purchase.
Wayne S. of Brancroft, Ontario saved over $1,000 on a 2005 Nissan Altima

Leanna S. of Calgary, Alberta saved over $400 on a 2005 Hyundai Tucson
Service was great. Didn't have to prod the salesmen when I came in to give me the price that was quoted to me. They did add a few extras over and above what was quoted but was still well under the MSRP price that the couple behind me paid.
Rudy E. from Toronto, Ontario saved over $1,500 on a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
Everything is fine ... I had the "tools" I needed to negotiate the best price possible. When the dealer showed me the "dealer's invoice", I felt very comfortable knowing that I was negotiating from a "level playing field". Thanks
Ted T. from Red Lake, Northern Ontario saved over $3,900 on a Toyota Highlander Limited
Dear sir, Just wanted to say I appreciate your company and its efforts on my behalf very much. I appreciate your company's efforts in bringing the best deal to me. Because of this, I will be using your company again within the next 2-3 months I am sure as my parents are looking for a new truck and they'll be in search of the best deal possible. And oh, in actual fact, I saved closer to $4,000.00 on my vehicle: $3,300.00 on the list price, $600.00+ on a GPS for the SUV. Thanks again for your help. Be talking with you folks again soon. Ted.

Allison H. from Surrey, B.C. saved over $300 on a 2005 Mazda 3
Thanks for your service! Because of the popularity of the car, I didn't save much over cost but I was highly impressed with the dealer you recommended. He treated me with respect and integrity. It saved me hours of shopping around to find someone I wanted to deal with. He agreed to sell me any model for the price that you got, and everything I asked for afterwards he sold me at cost price. There was no issue of haggling and he did his best to make me feel comfortable and to work with my needs. All the horrible stories I've heard about car buying and several salesmen I dealt with myself were really putting me off the whole process, but thanks to you I found a car, I felt good about it, and it happened all in a timely fashion which I needed! I won't hesitate to recommend your service to others. Thanks so much
