Buying a 2024 Hyundai Elantra, and saving $0 off of MSRP.
I am extremely unhappy and angry about my experience. I signed a contract and made a down payment over 3 months ago. 2 weeks ago I was contacted to be told the exact car I ordered (trim level and colour) was at the dealership but I would have to pay an extra $2,000 because it wasn't "my" car, but a car ordered by someone else who backed out of the sale. Some story about GAP insurance, which from my review is between $400-800 and as this is a lower priced car, it's probably on the low end. If I don't pay the extra $2k, I might have to wait 8 months for "my" car. This is bait and switch. I am considering my options, including filing a complaint with OMVIC. I should have gone to the dealership where I bought my current car.
