Buying a 2013 Acura RDX, and saving $2000 off of MSRP.
We traded in a 2005 Acura MDX, so we knew the product quality was good. Acura Sherway had previously won us over with excellent service on the MDX, saving us over $1,000 on a transmission replacement by ensuring it was covered under warranty.
I used the Price Report and created a spreadsheet, marking up the base car 2% for dealer profit then adding just a few options with a slight (10-15%) discount. We used Black Book Canada to get a rough estimate on the value of our MDX trade-in, but we knew the dealer would not offer us maximum given the low profit margin on the new vehicle.
The dealer was very professional and prompt. There was no prolonged back-and-forth "Let me take it to the sales manager" which has made other car purchases frustrating. It was a very no hassle purchase experience. Acura Sherway is highly recommended.
