Buying a 2012 Infiniti G37 Sedan, and saving $5000 off of MSRP.
Once you know the cost, bid low and come in about 3% over invoice. Be firm and patient, also shop around but for best long term service stay close to home if you can.

Leasing a 2012 Infiniti M56, and saving $3000 off of MSRP.
I initially chose this dealer for convenience as it is close to my home. Based on this, I bought my previous car there and my wife bought hers there also. Their service department has treated us well, so this is why we have continued to buy from this dealership. They were initially not impressed with the fact that I was using the Wholesale Price Report, but when I mentioned that it would be honored by The Tony Graham dealership and that would be my next stop, they became more interested in discussing my price. The Wholesale Price Report information was useful to a certain extent and I believe I received a fair price in terms of the leased vehicle amount, as it resulted in a markup of about 3.8%, which is well within your suggested parameters. However, my decision to lease clouded the situation, because the lease monthly payments seem much higher than what I assumed they would be and it seemed impossible to gain complete visibility into that process. Their explanation is that the lease finance charge is based on the cost of the entire car and not only on the capitalized amount. A better understanding on my part of the finance charge calculation process would have been useful. Thanks for your help.
