Buying a 2012 Mazda Mazda3, and saving $1000 off of MSRP.
I told the sales rep upfront that I knew the invoice price and that I had a CarCostCanada report, so we started negotiating up from the invoice price instead of down from the full retail price. I let him kept a fair 3% and I had the price I wanted. I paid 700$ less on the full retail price which turned out to be less than a 3% margin for the sales rep. In addition to that, I had the $500 grad incentive from Mazda Canada. Bottom line, I paid the car $1,200 less than the full retail price with a financing of 0% for 4 years. Great Deal !!
