Buying a 2009 Honda Element, and saving $10000 off of MSRP.
I found that you must be firm when talking to the dealers over the telephone, once you walk in, they try to lead you into the extras, be firm, don't pay for window etching or dealer pads like wheel locks, mud guards, etc, they're included. I managed to buy accessories for 50% of the MSRP, which helped keep the costs down further. The vehicle is on order and due to be built in February, so I ended up with an 09 Element at 08 prices, and strongly recommend this service to anyone buying/leasing in this day and age. Knowledge is power, and money is tight these days. I actually enjoyed buying a car this time, and know that the dealer still made money on the transaction, far in excess of what their cost was. Don''t be shy, else you''ll pay too much.
