Buying a 2009 Honda Fit, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
My dealer said he actually likes when prospective buyers come to him with the Car Cost Canada quotes. Otherwise buyers often under offer and don't know how much the car costs the dealer. He thought it was a fair way to negotiate for both parties. The Toyota Spinelli Lachine dealership refused to even talk about it and started spouting off how he had to pay for his kids college, etc. He lost me immediately.

Leasing a 2008 Honda Accord Sdn, and saving $1000 off of MSRP.
The Carcost canada pricing helped me to determine how much to offer for the lease. It is much easier to negotiate up from dealer cost than it is to negotiate down from list or MSRP. Furthermore, I am only picking up my car in March, 2008, and so am locked into a good deal now, but one which could become better if prices continue going down, and incentives up; for example, if lease percentages go down, I will get the benefit of the newer price, whereas if they go up, I am locked in at my price negotiated. My sales rep was a perfect gentleman, and was genuinely interested in making me happy and helping me to get a good deal. There were no pressure tactics whatsoever.
