Carcost invoice was very helpful when I negotiated with the dealer. However the Dealer's supervisor did not gave me the dealer's finance cash and charged me with the block heater.

When negotiating, request proper paperwork: Before putting in a deposit, ask the dealer to break down all the prices for you in an excel spreadsheet (not a napkin), and email you a copy. Request them to place ALL charges / fees on this spreadsheet.
In short, their own system is ancient and extremely confusing to read through. It's designed to make it easy to loose small miscellaneous charges without any visible impact on the bottom line.

As soon as we gave them our Car Cost Canada report they simply negotiated from the dealer invoice price. They were fair with their dealings and did not pressure us at all. Firtst dealership that did not use pressure .
