Buying a 2010 Mazda MAZDA3, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
Delisle guaranteed the best price... and after negotiating with several other dealers they were in fact the best price. we paid dealer plus 1.5% and they threw in some winter tires and a few other extras at no extra cost
Buying a 2009 Mazda MAZDA6, and saving $1500 off of MSRP.
I saved $1300 by getting a dealer to cut their margin in half and got them to throw in a car starter for virtually nothing. I did not have to take the report out as I was prepared before talking price. I made an offer that was a bit lower than I knew he could accept and he countered with the price I was expecting to pay for the car leaving a reasonable profit marging for the dealer. The sales rep sort of hid $200 in costs that were announced after we agreed on the prioe. He left out the A/C tax and some registration fees. I expected the registraion fees as I was financing the car but the tax should have been in the agreed upon price. I was not going to fight over a hundred bucks but probably could have gotten them to give it to me if I was in a fighting mood. Either way, I got the car I wanted (2009 Mazda 6, GT W/luxury package) from a dealer that is 3 blocks from my home.
