Buying a 2011 Kia Optima, and saving $4000 off of MSRP.
Dealt with the sales manager Chris. Friendly interaction. Quick to reply to emails. CCC numbers were what I was shown. Once negotiations began, it immediately become clear that there are significant lot pack/PDI addons over and above the price provided by CarCostCanada. It amounts to $1450 between dealer pack and PDI. Most of the savings were based on rebates. The deal is OK. I paid about $1300 over invoice, after rebates, which I consider a bit high on this car. Chris explained his ownership imposed limits. I took him at his word and agreed to his offer. Would have like it to be about $400 lower but all in all, I'm satisfied.
