Buying a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
I got an offer over the phone from a relative (Chrysler dealer) that leaves about 700Km away from me. He told me that at this price he was not making any profit and he was clearing his last 2008 models. After verifying the CCC report, I saw that he was right, he was making about 100$ profit on the model he was selling me. I took this offer with me and met with the local Chrysler Dealer, he made me an offer on a very similar model and said he was not making any profit on. Which I found out was wrong, his offer was 2000$ more than the one I had from my relative, and I could confirm with the CCC report. But I did not use the CCC report as an argument to get a better price, I thought they would most likely equal the offer I had from my relative, which they did once I told 'em . Adding to that winter tires and a set of rims, and we had a deal.
Buying a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and saving $5000 off of MSRP.
Being a member of CarCostCanada has helped me close up a deal very easily with the dealer. Having all the right numbers on hand with me when I walked in to make my purchase saved me a lot of time and hassle. I paid 500% above invoice price for a vehicle that retailed at nearly 50000$. All worth the membership cost of 40 bucks. Highly recommended.
