Buying a 2011 Toyota Venza, and saving $6000 off of MSRP.
I went to my local dealer and was not able to negotiate a satisfactory deal. I then called around to different dealers in my province and asked what they had on their lots and asked for price quotes from a few. I found a vehicle I wanted (white in colour), and Dealer A was offering me a great price and would be getting this vehicle within a couple of weeks. However, Dealer A is about 550 km away from my home. I contacted Dealer B (only 75km away) & they had the same vehicle in a different colour on their lot. I made them a lower offer and told them it would be my only offer. If they refused it, I would wait for the white vehicle from Dealer A. My lower offer was accepted by Dealer B!
