Buying a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and saving $5000 off of MSRP.
You chose the dealer for location convenience, the sale rep for his respect and after you made your choice of vehicle, you negotiate because you know the price of the car and the options.

Buying a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and saving $1500 off of MSRP.
I bought the car at Ogilvie Motors in Ottawa. I assessed both the Audi and the Mercedes. I preferred the Audi but the dealer could not find a suitable car for me in the time frame I had. Mercedes dealer went out of his way to get me a car close to what I wanted. Having the CarCost pricing greatly facilitated my negotiation by (1)giving me a real idea of the $ value of the car and (2)the dealer knew I had your prices and we quickly came to an agreement satisfactory to both parties.
