Buying a 2012 Toyota RAV4, and saving $1500 off of MSRP.
I paid the advertised retail price, but dealt to include in the price 4 winter tires (Continental ExtremeWinterRW), 4 stainless steel rim (silver) and the Sherlock Engraving on 52 parts.
The value for those tires at Canadian Tire is 165 each, + 69.99 each rim + $329 for the engraving so a total of $1265 worth of stuff (of course, it probably costs them a lot less to put that in).
Buying a 2012 Toyota Venza, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
The dealer was making $3500.00 profit on a Venza. I went there, told them that I want to buy today, told them about CarCost report. I made an offer $1500.00 over the dealer cost, it is about 4.2% profit. They have said yes without any discussion. CarCost made me save $2015.00 on the retail price. All the numbers in the report was matching the dealer's numbers. Great job. It really workes for me.
