Buying a 2012 Toyota Prius v, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
Asked several dealers for a quote and took the best. The winning bid was better than that of the local dealer participating in Car Cost Canada, and left the dealer with just under $1000 profit. I obtained a written commitment that there would be no additional costs, and specifically that there would be no licensing and registration charge. I can complete that myself. I never mentioned the report, and simply used it to estimate a fair profit for the dealer. Reached my goal with no need to dicker. Excellent experience.
