Buying a 2011 Dodge Journey, and saving $1500 off of MSRP.
The Journey has all the features that we want. Dodge does not make a Caravan anymore so the Journey was the next best but lots of features. Superior is the only Chrysler dealer in our city. In negotiations, I took the invoice price and calculated the range that I would accept as a dealer markup (between 3 - 5 %). I started at 3% but ended up at 4.3% which is not too bad. You have to be careful how the deal presents their numbers so I did my calculations before accepting the offer.
