Leasing a 2011 Kia Sportage, and saving $500 off of MSRP.
We chose this dealer because we already had a relationship with them, having had 2 previous Kia models which we serviced there. Their location is near to my wife's place of work. In this case we were not able to exercise any price benefit from CCC. This was a new 2011 model which was supposed to arrive in June 2010, but none were available until this one vehicle (the only one of this model in the GTA) came up in September. It had to be released from another dealer ($400 inventory fee). The lease rates were OK (3.9%) but nothing great. Because there was not any further inventory of this model available in Ontario at the time, the dealer was not willing to discount significantly. They did, however to their credit, provide us with a reduced rental rate on a service vehicle during the 3 months we waited for the car to arrive (the lease on the previous Kia expired in June and Kia Canada would only extend at standard lease rates--ridiculous since we were waiting for another Kia). This is one situation where it would have been advantageous for Kia to have their own in-house leasing instead of using Equilease. There were also additional charges for admin($299) and lease registration($285) on the vehicle.
