Leasing a 2009 Mazda MAZDA3, and saving $2000 off of MSRP.
Make sure that if the price isn't coming down any further, to ask about throwing in value added items like warranty, and some niceties like all weather mats, etc.

Buying a 2008 Mazda MAZDA3, and saving $1500 off of MSRP.
I paid 2.5% above retail and got 0% financing. The Windsor Mazda salesman was very good (price, service), the dealer not so good at delivery. If shopping around, make sure you are comparing 'apples to apples'. This was my first brand new car purchase and I took my time, wasn't in a hurry which I believe also gave me the upperhand with dealers. Drive the car a lot at different dealers. I drove different styles of this model 9 times among 5 dealers.
