Those familiar with all things Porsche will already know that\u2019s a common misconception, and their belief would\u2019ve been further strengthened when learning about Porsche once again ranking near the top of all premium automotive brands in the current 2020 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study.<\/p>\n<p>It should therefore hardly be a surprise to find out that Porsche also places highly in the customer satisfaction studies, the automaker most recently earning the highest possible position in J.D. Power and Associate\u2019s 2020 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, an honour it\u2019s managed to achieve for two years in a row.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3443\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3443\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3443\" src=\"https:\/\/articles.carcostcanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/inline_2021_porsche_macan_gts_00100.jpg\" alt=\"2021 Porsche Macan GTS\" width=\"200\" height=\"151\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3443\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Porsche models are more APEALing, says a new J.D. Power study.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The APEAL study, which surveys customers that have owned current model year cars for at least 90 days, queries about their ownership experience, including how their vehicles drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am gratified at how excited our customers are with their new dream cars,\u201d commented President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Inc, Klaus Zellmer. \u201cPorsche believes in continuous improvement and winning the top spot again just encourages us to find new ways to delight our drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3444\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3444\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3444\" src=\"https:\/\/articles.carcostcanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/inline_2021_porsche_taycan_turbo_s_00100.jpg\" alt=\"2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3444\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Will Porsche have the most appealing electric model too?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>To clarify, the 2020 APEAL Study delves into the \u201cemotional attachment and level of excitement\u201d that U.S. owners have for their new car, truck or SUV, and covers 37 attributes in order to come to their conclusions. The study also questions owners about their \u201csense of comfort and luxury\u201d upon sitting inside, as well as the \u201cpower they feel when they step on the gas,\u201d plus more, says Porsche North America in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 APEAL index score was measured on a 1,000-point scale, with Porsche earning 881 points resulting in this year\u2019s highest brand average. Comparatively, competitive premium brands averaged 861 points.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be sure of its findings, J.D. Power sampled 87,000 purchasers and lessees of 2020 model vehicles, collecting all of its data between February and May of this year.
