Battery Electric Vehicles are a key element in Canada’s Climate Change mitigation strategy. Each BEV deployed has the potential to reduce the country’s CO2 output by several thousand kilograms per year. With longer range BEV’s becoming more common, the vast majority of Canadians can now realistically take advantage of the significant operating cost reductions that enjoyed by people who operate a BEV.<\/p>\n
Consider the fact that a tank of unleaded gasoline costs over $100 today; you can purchase quite a bit of electricity for $100. In fact it is unlikely that the average BEV owner will spend even $100 powering their vehicle for an entire month.<\/p>\n
