Atlas is Volkswagens first 3-row SUV, leaving the Touaregs 4x4 readiness behind for a more car-like crossover stance. A 235-horsepower 2.0L turbo-4 powers base models, whereas a 276-horsepower 3.6L V6 is better for heavier loads, with both engines mated to an 8-speed auto. The 2.0L comes standard in FWD and gets optional AWD, while the 3.6L is standard with AWD. LED headlights and a backup camera are standard.
