Buying a 2012 Kia Optima, and saving $1000 off of MSRP.
I went to 2 dealership close by. My 1st one was Airport Kia in London. Went in to look at the vehicle, get prices and packages detail. Ask for manufacturers' incentives and so forth. Sale person Andrew told me about 1.9% financing. I ask if there will be better ones and he told me he will call in a few days because there might be. On the way out, saw their poster advertising 0% on all 2012, ask him about it and he says they're only for certain levels and 24 months. Went home and started looking at info online. Also waited for a week but Andrew never called one way or another. Got lots of info on the car and came on here to get dealer invoice price. Called another dealer (Anderson's Kia in Woodstock) and ask if they have o% for 60 months (what I read online but it indicated at the time that the deal expired) The salesman says "yes" so I went there, told him about what I wanted (an EX-L) and mentioned the Car Cost Canada site. He showed me how much the invoice price was (same as the site price) and told me he needs to make 5% profit. Seems fair so we shake on it and that was it basically. Took about 5 minutes. The rest of the time we spent test driving, looking at the vehicle features, etc. The quickest and easiest I have ever deal with buying a new car (I had bought 8 so far in my life)
