Buying a 2009 Honda Ridgeline, and saving $2000 off of MSRP.
I did not purchase any after sale products but was asked about them. My research tells me they are not worth the money. When buying I started off by telling the dealer what his cost was and suggested a purchase price giving the dealer a fair markup. They accepted it without haggling.

I spoke with Ben to get additional advice on purchasing, which was helpful. Finally, he connected with another dealership in Ottawa, and discussed what he felt was an appropriate purchase price for the vehicle. The dealer accpeted, contacted me, and sent me a bill of sale for me to sign to accept the vehicle. I, then, faxed this to my local Honda dealer in Cornwall, and they matched the price. I wanted to buy local, and believe that I never would have purchased it for this amount on my own.
