Buying a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, and saving $8000 off of MSRP.
I made it clear that my preference was to buy the vehicle at the local dealer,
but that I was willing to walk out and go and talk with other dealers. I showed the report to the salesperson; he brought it to the general manager. After a few minutes, I was negotiating directly with the general manager (I don't know if the report helped in that respect, but at least there was one less "middle person" in the negotiation process).
