Buying a 2012 Mazda Mazda3, and saving $1000 off of MSRP.
The GS Sky was the hardest to negotiate at dealers - seemed to be more in the 6-7% range rather then 3-5% range above wholesale. I couldn't get below $24500 with any dealer. They do try and sell you on these security packages as part of the sales at each dealer I visited to and it only really amounted to some overpriced wheels locks and sub par rubber mats. Before you start negotiating I would know what they are trying to tack on because some of the places I visited charged for nitrogen in tires, tire levy etc - the extras added up to nearly $800 which was outrageous.
