Simply tell them you have used Car Cost Canada, and e-mail 3 or 4 dealers with that info. They will all offer a price that is typically 300-500 above the dealer cost.

I negotiated a few cars at a few dealerships and found being upfront about the price report and negotiating the profit from that point on was the simplest route. As for choosing Hunt Club VW, I found the rep who contacted me from Myers VW to be borderline confrontational, so the decision to try the other dealer in town was a simple one.

I knew I was going to buy a new 2011 Golf TDI and used the CarCostCanada report to contact the recommended dealer (Myers VW) and they offered me Cost +3%. However, when I got there they upped the percentage to 4% because I wanted a diesel--so I went to Hunt Club VW who agreed to 3%.

Negotiated best price first, as if I were buying the car outright, and then switched to discussing a lease. Pre-paid 8 months lease cost to get 0% finance. (you get it back at the end of the lease)
