Leasing a 2012 Honda Odyssey, and saving $4000 off of MSRP.
The day I went for a price, I did not talk to any sales rep. I asked to talk directly to a sales manager. I sat down to his desk, having the Car Cost report, notes, other quotes in hand and asking how much profit he would consider to accept a deal. He got me wholesale price (same number as the car cost report) + 900$. I also got all my accessories at invoice price, installation included.
Overall, I got the vehicle at 1.54% over wholesale price, which is way lower than I was expecting (3-6% as stated by car cost canada).
The whole process took around 15 minutes total and I had closed the deal and signed all the papers.
