Buying a 2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI, and saving $2000 off of MSRP.
Do some leg work/shopping before you buy. Know your prices and what you want. We ultimately went with a dealer sales rep that good service on top of the price others were going to give us and the $$ on our trade in. The sales rep was very responsive with questions we had - considering we were doing the deal remotely. Local dealers weren't as responsive.

Knowledge is power. When buying a new car, this power translates into thousands of dollars in your pocket. It is as simple as that.
I would not even consider buying a new car without a CarCostCanada Wholesale Invoice report.
