Buying a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, and saving $2500 off of MSRP.
What I did was figure out what I wanted to pay by using the carcost report and an online balloon calculator so that I could figure out my payments and reverse engineer any counter offers. I then emailed every dealer and told then I wanted a quote starting with base price and all associated fees broken down. I then narrowed the list to top 3 sellers and tried to get my price lower. Eventually I did have the dealer I bought from, who was not in the top 3, write me back and asked if I looked over the quote. Told them they were to high so they lowered it to match. Went to see them and ended up getting another $1000+ off by buying. Overall I saved just over $2000 and got a 0.9% interest rate. My local dealer would not budge off of MRSP and eventually asked me and my very pregnant wife to leave and deal with another dealer. Should send them a thank you card for saving me the $2000+.
Oh yes, I recommend that people looking for a Hyundai, not goto Ralley Motors in Moncton as they treat customers like crap. So many complaints and after giving them a shot, I understand why. I will drive the 1-1/2 hours now to get my car serviced instead of the 5 minutes to go to them. I also emailed Hyundai Canada and complained on the service they provided.
Highly recommend Saint John Hyundai and Paul Frampton as your sales rep.

Buying a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, and saving $4000 off of MSRP.
Initially I was looking at the Honda CRV and the Toyota Rav4. During research I read a lot of good reviews for the Santa Fe and decided to take a look as well as a test drive. The Santa Fe had a smooth, quiet drive. It has a lot of standard features, an excellent warranty, great safety features as well as being several thousand dollars cheaper than the other two vehicles I was previously interested in.
There was a factory to dealer incentive of $3000.00 on the Santa Fe and I used the wholesale report to figure out the dealer margin in order to get a further discount.
