Leasing a 2012 Hyundai Veracruz, and saving $4000 off of MSRP.
We tried several Hyundai dealers, but this dealer was the only one who had solid information on when the new Veracruz with navigation could be expected, what the residual was and even what shipment from Korea it was on. Also willing to negotiate without games.
FWIW, we had not intended to lease another Veracruz as it is being phased out, even though we loved our first one. We tried Mazda but their finance company is fiddling with the residual to compensate for their current zero percent financing.
Also, we had to deal with Scotiabank for our lease, who wanted a personal guarantee from my husband even though his incorporated company has leased vehicles for 20 years, we have top rated credit and plenty of company assets. We had to push the decision up the chain and away from the low level paper pushers. It worked but took a few extra days.
